collaboration blog post
I think that collaboration plays a very important role in everyone's life because no matter what work force you go into it requires you to be able to work with others at some point. Today in the world group collaboration is very important even though it has changed so much and now face to face group collaboration is very rare because you may be available to work but no one else in your group is. Technology allows you to work on a project without being face to face with your partner or group. Although technology plays a major part in many of our lives and is a very reliable tool most of the time it does have its downfalls. When working in a group to produce a product you cannot tell who has changed information, or worked on the product. Another downfall of technology and online group collaboration is you cannot tell who has worked on the product and who has just laid back and relaxed and contributed nothing to the product at all.

A very informative and educational blog post but wish you would have listed some pros of online collaboration (as you did with the cons). Other than that I really enjoyed reading your personal experience and opinion on the subject. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLooking at only the first sentence, I already disagree. There are jobs out there that do not require any sort of collaboration, such as a video game story-line writer. Sure, after they are finished writing it, they share it with the rest of the development team, but in the process of writing it, they hardly collaborate, it is all from their minds alone. I also noticed a few errors with sentence structure and punctuation, one being in this sentence, "Today in the world group collaboration is very important even though it has changed so much and now face to face group collaboration is very rare because you may be available to work but no one else in your group is." It is a very excruciatingly long sentence that just goes on and on. I believe it would read better if said like this, "In the world today, group collaboration is very important. Even though it has changed a lot and now face to face group collaboration is very rare because you may be available to work but no one else in your group is." As for everything after the sentence I previously talked about, I do agree with the things you said. I very strongly agree with the fact that people can just sit back while another person does the work. However, this is the society we live in. It's a dog eat dog world, and people need to learn that. The faster they do, the easier life will be for them.

ReplyDeleteGood job Kevin it answers a lot of questions about collaboration but I instead of just saying cons of collaboration you could also list the pros of it so people have good expectations of collaboration.
